Your're human? Barely, I'm a lawyer!

Last time he fought against his sworn enemies....This time he will fight with them.

Now I know I'm going to upset some people with this little review but Blade 2 was bad. Not horrendously bad, it did have some good points, but it still wasn't great.

Snipes was great, as he usually is, and Luke Goss was excellent. In fact I was pleasantly surprised at his on-screen presence. Unfortunately it was over-shadowed by Danny John-Jules being supremely awful. The man cannot act and adding this to all the other rubbish through-out the film just makes for an unimpressive sequel.

So here we have Blade, back to fight off the vampires only this time we have a new strain of vamp... Repears! Now this idea I quite like, the idea of a new strain of vampire and it made the acceptance of Drake in the third instalment (and the dogs) more acceptable. What let it down was the fact that Blade was fighting the reapers along side vampires. I know they say keep your friends close but your enemies closer but it just doesn't sit well with the character of Blade to be fighting with vampires. He should have killed them and then gone after the reapers but sadly this would have made for a film of two halves, with the first half being a basic repeat of the first Blade.

Thankfully Del Toro did a better job of directing this one than Norrington did with the first it's just a shame his casting director/manager couldn't have found more talented actors to play certain roles.

I'd like it noted that I have not once mentioned the performance and talent of Ron Perlman!

I liked it.

But then what the fuck do I know?

Really?

Well the good thing about humans, you being one of them but it's debatable I am, is that we all have our own opinions and you are entitled to yours as much as I'm entitled to mine.

But obviously my opinion is righter than yours.

Muhahahhaaaa!

Pistols at dawn and all that!

Thankfully you'll see I did say Del Toro did a better job than Norrington, I didn't mention Perlman and I did say it had some good points.

Some good points.... not many but some!

I AM a bit of a Del Toro fanboy and have been ever since Cronos so glad you preferred his direction.
And at least you didn't mention the physics-defying light grenade scene :))

Del Toro is good. I quite enjoyed Mimic... for the direction... not a lot else!

I thought Mimic was quite good fun but he seems to have kept his best work for his homeland work. Cronos, The Devil's Backbone and, especially, Pan's Labyrinth are astonishingly brilliant, intelligent genre pieces that I hope will last as favourites amongst fans for a long time to come.

I think it's best we don't talk about Pan's Labyrinth.

I'm quite sure I'd have you, Brad and a million other people lined up to batter crap out of me if I told you how I really feel about Pan's Labyrinth.

Even more so I admitted I've seen the first 15 minutes or so... but that was plenty for me to base an opinion on!

I liked it, but then again I sew while it is on, so really what do I know lol:)

Because you sew while it's on your attention may only be drawn to the few good bits of them film.

Watch it all, without sewing and see if you feel the same.

This could be true.

I get restless watching films I have to be doing something, even while watching MI III I had to sew:)

I've got it but havent seen it yet as I am busy with belle I have loads of DVDs to watch and cant wait until I can get to see some of them :)

I think it's all just switch off brain entertainment... personally I didn't like the FX, the flying vampires were far too obvious.
